Terms of Use

Information ≠ Legal Advice. RECEIPTS provides legal information, research organization, plain-language assistance, and links to official sources. It is not a law firm, does not represent you, and does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Use of the service

You may use RECEIPTS for lawful informational and research purposes. Do not use the service to impersonate another person, interfere with the site, abuse payment systems, or submit material you do not have the right to use.

Accuracy and official sources

RECEIPTS is designed to emphasize official sources, citations, dates, and uncertainty. Laws, regulations, court decisions, agency guidance, and local rules can change. Verify important matters against the linked authoritative source and obtain qualified professional advice when needed.

No outcome guarantee

RECEIPTS does not guarantee that a claim is legally correct for your individual circumstances, that a source is complete for your case, or that any legal, administrative, employment, benefits, criminal, civil, or other outcome will occur.

Payments

The current $5 Support RECEIPTS checkout is an optional one-time support payment. It does not purchase legal advice, representation, priority treatment, a guaranteed result, or a RECEIPTS Plus subscription. Plus is not currently for sale.

Availability

Features may be changed, paused, corrected, or removed as RECEIPTS is developed. At launch, AI-backed research is intentionally paused while AI_ENABLED=false.

Intellectual property and user material

You remain responsible for material you enter into the service. RECEIPTS branding, site design, and software may be protected by applicable intellectual-property law. External government records and third-party material remain subject to their own terms and legal status.

Last updated September 14, 2026. These starter policies describe the current RECEIPTS launch configuration and should be reviewed as the product adds accounts, document storage, subscriptions, or AI research.

Accounts

Accounts are optional for public research. If you use an account, you are responsible for access to your email account and devices. Do not use RECEIPTS cloud backup as your only copy of important records.

Case-document storage, attorney sharing, and paid RECEIPTS Plus features are not enabled merely by creating an account.
